GREENVILLE, S.C. — Retired Army Lt. Col. and Mrs. Wayne Scholtes of Spartanburg, S.C., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Catherine, to Ensign Eric Lee Bell of Greenville, S.C. He is the son of Darrell Bell of Moultrie and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hiers of Cartersville.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Spartanburg High School in Spartanburg, S.C. She graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., in 2006, with a degree in health promotion education. She works in health fitness at General Electric in Greenville, S.C.
The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Colquitt County High School. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta in 2002 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He graduated from Mercer University in Macon in 2007 with a master’s degree in business administration. He is a design engineer at General Electric in Greenville, S.C. and a member of the United States Navy Reserve.
The wedding will be held in the late spring of 2010, at Larkins on the River in Greenville, S.C.
