Mediacom and WTXL ABC 27 announce partnership

VALDOSTA — Mediacom and WTXL TV ABC27HD began broadcasting Monday on Mediacom cable channels 5 and High Definition 805 in Tifton, Moultrie, Ashburn, Omega, Ty Ty, Sycamore and Sumner.

Viewers in South Georgia have known for years the responsibility that WTXL ABC27HD has for bringing local news to South Georgia and in high definition is a giant step into the future for the station.

“We’re very optimistic about our future in digital television, and private ownership allows us to have a long term vision of the ever changing broadcast environment and how we serve our community" said Gary Wordlaw, vice-president and General Manager of WTXL ABC 27HD.

Eye care office, patients give back
