TIFTON — Once a month each one of all of the Tift County schools have Pizza Night. It is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. On the schools Pizza Night a percentage of the money earned from parents purchasing pizza is given back to either the school, or to the teacher (to use for fun activities or supplies for her classroom). This month Myra Smith, a teacher at the Pre-K center, pictured in the middle was given a check to spend on classroom activities, from Papa John's for $181.36. This is the highest check Papa John’s has given out this year, and Marketing Coordinator Kathleen Henderson said, ‘We are very proud of her!” Wanda Veazey is the principal on the left, and Henderson is on the right.
