ASHBURN — Cliff and Sheila Gibbs of Ashburn announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Mallory Gibbs, to Jonathan Garvey of Tifton, son of Pete and Kathy Garvey of Tifton.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Dent and Norma Raines and the late James and Mary Clifford Gibbs, all of Ashburn. She is a 2004 honor graduate of Turner County High School and she graduated in 2006 from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with an associate of science degree. She continued her studies at the University of Georgia where she graduated in May 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in furnishings and interiors. Presently, she is self-employed as an interior designer in Tifton.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of John and the late Helen Grosh and the late L.H. “Big Pete” and Mary Jo Garvey, all of Tifton. He is a 2000 graduate of Tiftarea Academy and he graduated in 2002 from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with an associate of science degree. He continued his studies in Milledgeville at Georgia College and State University and graduated in May 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and information systems. He is self-employed in Tifton as a contractor/developer.
The wedding is being planned for late January in Ashburn.
