VALDOSTA (AP) —
Sheriff’s officials in south Georgia say a single vehicle crash on Interstate 75 has left a man dead and three passengers injured.
WALB-TV reports four people riding in a Jeep Grand Cherokee were ejected from the vehicle when it crashed into a concrete median Sunday night.
Lowndes County Sheriff’s officials say the driver Jake Daughtrey, of Adel was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say three passengers were taken to the South Georgia Medical Center before being airlifted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
Authorities say a 20-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl are listed in stable condition. An 8-year-old boy is listed in critical condition.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol are investigating the crash.

UGA Tifton Campus funding approved
When Gov. Nathan Deal signed the budget recently passed by the Georgia state legislature, a long-awaited renovation project for the University of Georgia Tifton Campus was finally moved forward.The budget includes $4.7 million for the renovation of the Tift building on the UGA Tifton Campus.
