PERRY — NASCAR driver David Ragan will be coming here on Saturday as part of David Ragan Ford’s wrestling ‘n racing promotion.
Ragan, winner of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona, will be displaying his new Daytona 400 trophy at the dealership as well as inviting race fans to get in line for an autograph.
He will meet with fans at 11 a.m., do a question and answer interview later in the morning with WDEN Morning Show personality Laura Starling, then be part of a drawing sometime after 1 p.m. to give away a David Ragan cap plus two tickets to 12 lucky winners to see him race Saturday night at the 441 Speedway in Dublin.
This will be something of a delayed grand opening for the dealership which was too busy last September to have a grand opening then.
The huge service area is being emptied out to make room for bleachers and a wrestling arena. Extreme autograph sessions also will be available with wrestling stars Road Dogg, Barbarian, Ricky Morton, C. W. Anderson, Lodi, Chris Hambrick, Georgia South, plus Reid Flair.
Ragan drives for Roush Fenway and the Roush reps will be on hand with a special display of their high performance Roush Mustangs.
In addition, Ragan’s Shriner chopper will be there all week, along with his 2009 Cup car, special guests and truck loads of racing memorabilia.
Live music will be provided by the Vespers Blue Grass Band from Nashville, and ice cold soft drinks will be available.
