TIFTON — A 21-year-old woman who was shot at Peterson Apartments in Tifton was airlifted to a Macon Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time, but she is believed to be stable. Thomas Howard Jr., 27, has been arrested and charged in the shooting with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. More information will be released when it becomes available.

Tifton man arrested in marijuana sting
The Mid-South Narcotics Task Force, along with the Tift County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant May 7 on the residence of 36-year-old Daniel Eubanks, located at 905 36th Street in Tifton. The search warrant was served as part of a joint investigation with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office into Eubanks' marijuana distribution.
