TIFTON —
Do you dream of death by chocolate? Is your favorite book, Like Water for Chocolate? When Valentine’s Day gets close, do you start hinting for chocolate cremes?
If you said yes to one or more of these questions, you are going to love Literacy Volunteer’s next fundraiser: Chocolate Classic 2013. The elegant event, to be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at The Bistro at 219 (219 Main St.), will feature chocolate desserts from 10 of Tifton’s finest — and all for literacy. You can satisfy your sweet tooth while doing good.
Cast your guilt aside and remind yourself of the antioxidant-packed heart healthy benefits of dark chocolate. Along with the chocolate tastings, patrons will be served milk, coffee, wine and champagne. Those who attend can also vote for their choice in the categories of “Favorite Tasting,” “Presentation,” and “Top All Around Dessert.”
Cost to attend the event is $10 per person and $15 per couple. Children are free. Tickets will be sold at the door.
