NORMAN PARK —
The Tift County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a series of residential burglaries and attempted burglaries that began earlier this week, says Maj. Bobby Brannen at the TCSO.
He stated in an e-mail that the first incident was reported Tuesday with four others being reported Wednesday. The burglaries reported were on Isabella Nashville Road, Cromer Road, W.B. Parks Road and Omega Ty Ty Road.
Brannen said all of the burglaries were committed during daytime hours. He stated that property taken in the burglaries were firearms and electronics.
“A suspect was developed through interviews conducted by investigators, and a description of a suspect and vehicle was given to the uniform patrol division of the sheriff’s office,” Brannen said.
He stated that Deputy Mark Guess located the suspect and vehicle just before midnight Wednesday.
He said at this time, Louie Scott Williamson, 28, of 337 Sledge Road in Ty Ty, has been charged with three counts of burglary.
At this time, none of the stolen property has been recovered, Brannen added.
Lt. Chad Davis and Sgt. Cliff Henderson are continuing the investigation.
