Tifton Chick-fil-A hosts Valentine’s Family Date Night

TIFTON — The local Chick-fil-A restaurant will host a date night and family night to celebrate Valentine’s Day from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, located at 1197 U.S. Highway 82 W.

Customers are invited to order from a special menu and enjoy tableside service provided by Chick-fil-A team members. The restaurant will be decorated with flowers and candles. There will also be live music and a special visit from the Chick-fil-A cow.

“We’ve planned this special dinner to give our customers the opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a unique Chick-fil-A experience,” said Franchise Operator David Pettis. “We want to encourage our neighbors to bring a date or the whole family to this fun evening in Tifton.”

    The Downtown Development Authority has announced the 2013 opening of the Downtown Tifton Farmer’s Market May 18 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The market, located on the platform of the historical Tift Terminal Railway Museum, will feature the new streetscape including enhanced landscaping, new sidewalks for easy accessibility and so much more.

    When Gov. Nathan Deal signed the budget recently passed by the Georgia state legislature, a long-awaited renovation project for the University of Georgia Tifton Campus was finally moved forward.
    The budget includes $4.7 million for the renovation of the Tift building on the UGA Tifton Campus. The building, which has been vacant for years, will eventually house administrative offices as well as offices for key support personnel and new scientific positions.
