TIFTON — Sean and April Corbett plan to fill their vehicles up with gas and celebrate family birthdays this week and next after winning the Checkers Chase sponsored by Checkers Restaurant and The Tifton Gazette.
The couple found the Checkers cup Saturday and claimed the $500 prize at the Tifton Gazette Monday. The couple will also receive a free Checkers combo meal each week for a year.
Sean said that he and his wife had been looking for the cup since the contest was announced. They enjoy riding bicycles on dirt roads and checked the clues printed in the Gazette’s classified section. They found the cup hidden on public property off Lastinger Road. They plan to use some of the money to celebrate the couple’s son’s 12th birthday this week and April’s birthday next week.
