COLUMBUS — Columbus police say a 21-year-old Seale, Ala., man has been charged in the death of a man following an attack in a Waffle House parking lot in Columbus.
Police say Dustin Ray Horton is accused of causing the death of 36-year-old Scott Jeremy Drago, who was found lying in the parking lot 15 feet from his truck about 3:10 a.m. on Sunday.
Columbus Police Lt. Charles Kennedy said he was pronounced dead at The Medical Center at 9:45 p.m.
Kennedy said Horton and Drago got into a fight and Drago’s injury occurred when his had hit the pavement.
Police reports state that Drago had a fractured skull where he landed on the back of his head.
