TIFTON — Julius Carol Walker, 63, of Tifton, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 in Bonifay, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Sloane Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.
Mr. Walker was born Nov. 16, 1946 in Pelham to the late Luther Walker. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Flowers Walker Alred and stepfather, O. L. Alred of Sylvester. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by a son, William Allen Walker who died in 1994. Mr. Walker was of the Church of God faith. He had lived in Tifton for eight years moving here from Geneva, Ala. He worked in the textile industry and was disabled. Mr. Walker loved fishing, but his favorite activity was spending time with family.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Linda Branch Walker; one son and daughter-in-law, James Christopher and Charlene Walker of Tifton; one daughter, Michelle Leigh Walker of Sylvester; and five grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Jeffery Tyler Walker, Taylor D. Walker, Amaya Brooke Walker, Brandon Christopher Joiner and Cody Lee Hughes. He is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Ivy Cleveland of Albany and one brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Susan Walker of Sumner.
The family will be at the home of Mr. Walker’s son, Chris, in Tifton.
