LENOX —
Gerald Richard "Ricky" Sirmans, 60, of Lenox died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Omega Church of God. The Rev. Joseph Crews will officiate with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardnes. Adam Crews, Aaron Crews, Alex Crews, Wade Crumley, Alton Benefield and Hoke Rutherford will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Sirmans was born on May 19, 1952 in Cook County and was the son of Hard Vermon Sirmans and Melinda Clara Boyd Sirmans, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one sister. He was a professional truck driver with Tri-State Pre-Cast Company and was a member of Omega Church of God. He loved his family and grandkids very much.
Mr. Sirmans is survived by his wife, Joan Katherine Duren Sirmans of Lenox; two sons, Andrew Vermon Sirmans of Baxley and Dusty Dewayne Sirmans of Adel; four brothers, Bill Sirmans of Vienna, Paul Sirmans of Adel, Ron Sirmans of Hawkinsville and David Sirmans of Nashville; three sisters, Christine Moody of Bainbridge, Martha VanBrunt of Cairo and Ann Sirmans of Tallahassee, Fla.; and three grandsons, Cody Sirmans, Jacob Sirmans and Seth Sirmans.
