Clifford Edward ‘Ed’ Rosencrantz Jr.

OMEGA — Clifford Edward "Ed" Rosencrantz Jr., 61, of Omega, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at his residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Christopher House will officiate, with burial to follow. Zach Dunn, Hunt McKellar, Adam Horn, Caleb Overman, Brooks Martin, Michael House, John McBrayer, Adam Bromley, Jonathon Searcy and Matthew Wiggins will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ed was born on July 24, 1951 in Moultrie, and was the son of Clifford E. Rosencrantz Sr. and Laura Sutton Rosencrantz, both deceased.  He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Nadine Cox Wood.  He was employed at Clifton Seed Company in Moultrie.

Ed is survived by his wife, Peggy Wood Rosencrantz of Omega; one son, Ward Rosencrantz of Omega; one step-daughter and her husband, Melissa and Jay Youmans of Omega; five step-grandchildren, Kassidyn, Kagan, Koastal, Sealan and Sailor Youmans; two brothers, Brent Rosencrantz of Gray and Bo Rosencrantz of Gainesville; one nephew, Sutton Rosencrantz; two nieces, Laura Rosencrantz and Julie Rosencrantz; and his father-in-law, Elder E. L. "Buck" Wood of Tifton.
