Judith Drawdy


LENOX — Judith Frasier Drawdy, 74, of Lenox died Wednesday morning, March 10, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. Dr. Danny Ray and the Rev. Bill Barksdale will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Doug Drawdy, Justin Franks, Ronny Franks, Lanny Franks, Chris Overstreet and Denver Franks will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Drawdy was born March 8, 1936 in Pawcatuck, Conn., and was the daughter of Edward L. Frasier and Mary Bennett Frasier, both deceased. She was married to the late Alvin W. Drawdy of Tifton and had lived in Tift County for the past 55 years. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Frasier; and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Megan Franks.

She served in the Women's Air Force for two years and was a secretary for Long Manufacturing, Inc. for 15 years. Later, she was employed at Len Lastinger Elementary School for nine years.

Mrs. Drawdy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Andrell Joe and Brenda Drawdy of Eldorado; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Randy Franks of Jesup; two grandsons, Douglas Joe Drawdy of Eldorado and Justin Wallace Franks and his wife, Erin, of Jesup; one granddaughter, Gina Franks of Jesup; one great-grandson, Tyson Hendrix of Jesup; and one sister, Marion Discuillo of North Stonington, Conn.
