Betty Marks

VALDOSTA — Betty W. Marks, 79, of Valdosta died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born Dec. 9, 1930 in Canton to the late Virgil and Pearl Scott Wilson and had lived in Valdosta for many years.

Survivors include her brother, A.W. Wilson of Tifton; sister, Susie Wells of Vienna; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Carl Marks; four brothers, Lawrence Wilson, Junior Wilson and Grady Wilson, all of Tifton, and James Wilson of Americus; and two sisters, Flossie Hayes of Tifton and Addie Walters of Alapaha.

The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Cason McLane Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating.
