NASHVILLE — Susan Diane Blevins, 60, of Nashville died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at Berrien County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lovein Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blevins was born Feb. 22, 1949 in Lowndes County to Gladys Sutton and the late Ralph Elsworth Harris. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Herman Blevins. She was a homemaker, a registered nurse and a member of Nashville United Methodist Church. She graduated from the Macon School of Nursing in 1970, and was voted Student of the Year by her classmates. She was a loving wife, daughter and grandmother.
Mrs. Blevins is survived by her husband, John Ed Blevins of Nashville; one daugher and son-in-law, Jennifer and Glen Dosey of Hillard, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Stephanie Blevins of Valdosta; her mother, Gladys Harris of Nashville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Linda Harris of Moultrie and Jimmy and Marcia Harris of Alapaha; six grandchildren, Victoria Dosey, Lily Dosey, Katherine Dosey, Ann Harrell Blevins, Stella Blevins and Amelia Blevins; her mother-in-law, Ruby Blevins of Welch, W.Va.; and two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Vicki and Bryan Sherrill and Becky and Skip Lassack.
