Alma Raines Hobby, 82, of Ashburn died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Ashburn First Baptist Church.
The daughter of the late Johnnie T. and Omie Estelle Adams Raines, Mrs. Hobby was born in Fort Valley. She was a retired RN from Turner County Hospital. She was a member of Ashburn First Baptist Church and The Happy Sunday School Class. She was a registered Red Cross nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lott Burton “L.B.” Hobby.
Mrs. Hobby is survived by her children, Michael Hobby, Mickie Jean Hobby and Mona H. Morris, all of Ashburn; and two grandchildren, Zack Hobby and Cody Morris, both of Ashburn.
