Sandra LaJoy “Sandy” Love Burns,

ENIGMA — Sandra LaJoy “Sandy” Love Burns,  50, of Enigma, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Tift Avenue Church of God with the Rev. Daniel McEachin and the Rev. Matthew Schluckebier officiating. Burial will follow at Turner Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Schluckebier, Terry Wells, Eric Hughes, Raymond Barnes, Mitchell Barnes, Charlie Barnes and Troy Goff.

Mrs. Burns was born Sept. 19, 1962, in Tifton to the late James Ventrice Love II and Genevie Barbara Walker Love, who survives and resides in Lakeland, Fla.  She was a graduate of Lakeland High School and was a member of the Tift Avenue Church of God where she sang in the choir.  She was a homemaker and caregiver who was always thinking of and giving her time to others.  Mrs. Burns was always sharing about God’s goodness to others.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, Donnie Ronald Burns of Enigma, to whom she was married for 31 years; one daughter, Tina Burns and David Montgomery of Enigma; two sisters, Barbara Behnke and Rhonda McCutcheon, both of Lakeland, Fla.; one brother, Jimmy Love of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kristyn Montgomery and Jason Montgomery, both of Enigma; three nephews; and five nieces.

Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to the Oncology Center at Tift Regional Medical Center or Hospice of Tift Area, both at P.O. Box 747, Tifton, Ga. 31793 for the exceptional care and love that both of these organizations gave to Sandy and her family.
