CONYERS —
Betty F. Stanford, 84, of Conyers died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor John Strickland officiating. Mrs. Stanford will be interred Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stanford worked for Indian Creek Baptist Church in the children’s department, and she worked for her husband in his chiropractic business. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling; and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. Mrs. Stanford was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Warren Stanford Sr.; and her parents, Eddie and Betty (Conger) Frazier.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Bobby Land of Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, Warren Jr., and Kessa Stanford of Suwanee; grandchildren, Kimberly and David Miller of Conyers, Robby and Loan Land of Monroe, David and Alina Land of Stockbridge, Kyle Stanford, Ian Stanford, both of Suwanee; great-grandchildren, Krystena Land, Kaelyn Miller, Kara Miller, all of Conyers, Seth Land of Monroe; sister, Grace Lawhorne; brothers and sister-in-law, Russell Frazier, Raymond and Susie Mae Frazier, all of Sylvester; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Conyers Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3001 Old Salem Road SE, Conyers, GA 30013.
