Myrtis Pitts Little

TIFTON — Myrtis Pitts Little, 88, of Tifton died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Perry Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Little was born in Crisp County and was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Rainey Pitts. She was a longtime resident of Ashburn before moving to Tifton in 1999. She was a retired seamstress and had worked at Manhattan Shirt Company for many years. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Ashburn. Mrs. Little enjoyed sewing, cooking and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Little; six brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Bobby Goodman of Tifton; her two grandchildren, Becky Goodman Sumner and Matt (Loan) Goodman, both of Tifton; her two great-grandchildren, Levi Sumner and Tai Goodman, both of Tifton; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Adele Pitts of Chattahoochee, Fla.; and her sister, Pauline Stowers of Jacksonville, Fla.
