Verne Benefield, 64, of Nashville died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Empire Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Lovein Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Powell Benefield of Nashville and a step-son, Randall Gaskins. Lovein Funeral, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
