Bobby A. Robinson, 77, of Tifton died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with burial to follow at Omega Cemetery.
Clint Bostick, Chad Robinson, Duane Hardy, Ken Hardy, Joe Hardy and Jeremy Hathcock will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dickie Robinson, Bobby Manders, Shane Palmer, Richard Hardy, Greg Robinson and Jerry Golden. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Robinson was born on Dec. 11, 1935 in Tifton and was the son of Clifford Roy Robinson and Dorothy Ione Taylor Robinson, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. He was retired from Forstman and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Robinson also served in the National Guard.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Sadler Robinson of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Veronica Robinson of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Michael Carroll and Gail Robinson Perryman and Buddy Perryman, all of Tifton; one brother, Ted Robinson of Omega; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Jean and Richard Hardy of Omega and Dianne and Jerry Bostick of Moultrie; seven grandchildren, Melissa Manders, Alisha A. Sutton, Brooke Carroll, Lakin Perryman, Amber Robinson, Dusty Robinson and Chance Robinson; and seven great-grandchildren.
