Buddy Noland

TIFTON — Haskell Levane "Buddy" Noland, 75, of Tifton passed away peacefully Sunday, March 14, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, with the Rev. Larry Layfield and Pastor Steve Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Eldorado Baptist Church Cemetery.

James Montgomery, Raymond Montgomery, Troy "B.B." Ball, Danny Crumley, Harrison Brown, Terrell "Curly" Rutland, Danny Thompson and Melvin Thompson will serve as pallbearers.

Buddy was born Aug. 14, 1934 in Tift County to the late Sarah Virginia Tawzer Noland, deceased. He was also preceded in death by a son, Haskell Levane "Little Buddy" Noland Jr. He was a 1952 graduate of Tift County High School. He was retired from the Tifton Post Office as a rural letter carrier, worked for many years at the Experiment Station in Tifton and also owned and operated Triple "C" Greenhouse. He was a member of Eldorado Baptist Church.

Mr. Noland is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Hill Noland of Tifton; his three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Lindsey Hill of Tifton, Cathy and Mark Williamson of Tifton and Cindy and Terry Cranford of Omega; his 10 grandchildren, Cal Williamson, Casey and Christy Williamson, Kayla Williamson, Jerry Hill and Beth Hill Harrison, all of Tifton; Cagney Noland of Dobbins Naval Air Station in Marietta, Courtney Noland and Madalyn Hasty of Omega, Tabitha and Vaughn Beason and Natasha Cranford Teague of Maryville, Tenn., and Terry Cranford II of Camp Hovey, Korea. His greatest pride and joy were the seven great-grandchildren that he was blessed with, Colin Lee Williamson, Drayden Blayne Harrison, Ryell Nicole Rooks, Kaitlyn Brianna Rooks, Brandon D. Beason, Riley Grace Cranford and Rosston Daniel Cranford. He is also survived by one brother, Wayne Noland of Tifton; and one sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Cleo Stone of Tifton.
