Death notices for Dec. 25

Juanita “Skeeter” McKenzie, 76, of Ty Ty died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home.

Harlie Parker, 81, of Poulan died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pine Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be  held from 6 until 8 tonight at Banks Funeral Home. Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester is in charge of arrangements.

Anita Odom, 90, Tifton died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home.

Dr. Jeff Slocum, 61, of Tifton died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Northside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church, prior to the service. A private family interment will be held at a later time. Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen Paul Helms, 75, of Seneca, S.C. died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Lila Doyle Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. N.C. Spradley officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Among her survivors are five sons, Ray Salter, Edward “Buddy” Salter Jr., Michael L. Salter, Monty L. Salter and Robert Brian Helms; a daughter, Shara Dunn; a brother, Travis Paul; and a sister, Frances P. Spradley. Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Grace Outlaw, 74, of Nashville died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at her residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.

Debra Milton, 49, of Adel died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at her residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.

Tiyan Cole, two months old, of Nashville died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.
