Julia Mae Redding Burns

TIFTON — Julia Mae Redding Burns, 62, of Tifton departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at her residence. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Southview Mortuary from 7 until 8 p.m. Today. Funeral services for Ms. Burns will be held at Beulah Hill Family Life Center  at 11 a.m. Thursday.  

Ms. Burns was born Dec. 31, 1950 in Sylvester, Worth County to the late Freddie Mae Leent and the late O. C. Redding. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Dianne Redding-Jones and Ricky Redding, and a stepson, Carlton Burns Jr.  

Ms. Burns leaves to cherish her memories, two loving children, Vanessa (Todd) Ennis of Fayetteville and Cicely (Johnny) Riley of Valdosta; seven grandchildren, Taylor Nichols, Porsche Riley, Marlon Nichols, Jasmine Riley, Alexcia Ennis, Jarius Smith, and Todd Ennis; two sisters, Ruthie Redding and Barbara (Robert) Collins of Tifton and one brother, Rodney Redding of Fayetteville, N.C.; one uncle, Sinclair Bozeman of Tifton; a best friend, Nancy Holt; a special friend, John Ravizee; two God-children, Andralynn Tift of Valdosta and Terry Calhoun of Tifton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Youth Department, P. O. Box 1483, Tifton, GA 31794.  You may offer condolences to the family on the online guest book at www.southviewmortuary.com.
