Anna E. Bennett

LENOX — Anna Easters Bennett, 87, of Lenox died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Adel following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lenox Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamar Harris. Burial will follow at Lenox City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home on Highway 41 South.

Mrs. Bennett was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Lowndes County to the late Benjamin Easters and Oddie Wilkes Easters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Bennett; and two brothers, Owen Easters and Marlin Easters. She had lived most of her life in Cook County and was a retired nurse with Memorial Convalescent Center and Memorial Hospital of Adel. She was a member of Lenox Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Wanda Bennett of Lenox; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Lewis Wilson of Lenox; sister-in-law, Elizabeth S. Easters of Lenox; grandchildren, Holly Wilson and Brian Bennett, both of Lenox, and Jeffrey Bennett of Bainbridge; and great-grandchildren, Cortney Bennett and Tyler Wise, both of Lenox, and Cameron Bennett of Bainbridge.

Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
