Roy Webb

TIFTON —Roy Eugene Webb, 77, of Enigma, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Barnes Chapel Holiness Church with the Rev. James Irions officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Born June 26, 1932, in Atlanta to the late William Doc Webb and Ruby Allen Webb, Mr. Webb was also preceded in death by one brother. Mr. Webb had lived in Enigma for 13 years. He formerly was employed for 20 years with the City of Atlanta as a painter. He also was employed for five years with Harvey’s Supermarkets and retired from Gold Kist in Valdosta. He enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible and watching old movies. Mr. Webb was happy in the company of his friends. He was a member of Barnes Chapel Holiness Church.

Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Barbara Webb of Enigma; his children, Ann and Greg House of Omega and David and Vicky Manders of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Christopher and Josh House and Cruise Edmonson; his sister, Martha Bryant of Atlanta; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary R. Woodard of Tifton, Jeanette and Jim Whislar of Lafayette, Ind., Dianne Reider of Savannah, Elizabeth and Frank Davis of Savannah and Clayton and Betsy Webb of Tifton; five nieces; and his cousins, Margaret Burkhalter and Irene Franklin, both of Mableton, and Thelma Barfield of Austell.
