Evelyn Easters Swain

ENIGMA — Evelyn Easters Swain, 89, of Enigma died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at her son's residence in Enigma. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Her son, the Rev. Billy Swain, and the Rev. Marvin Williams will officiate with burial to follow at Enigma Cemetery.

Mrs. Swain was born on Dec. 25, 1920 in Enigma and was the daughter of Andrew Easters and Nona Cook Easters, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin William "Buck" Swain Sr.; three brothers; and one sister. She was a homemaker and an Avon representative for approximately 53 years. She was a member of Mount Zion Ministries in Enigma.

Mrs. Swain is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Billy and Marian Swain of Enigma; one daughter and son-in-law, Sonny and Margaret Stinson of Enigma; two sisters, Mildred Moorman of Tifton and Naomi Sego Reader of Centerville: four grandchildren, Regina Boykin, Dana Swain, Tonya Lairsey and Sonya Martin; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
