Frank L. Geiger

TIFTON — Franklin Leroy Geiger, 73, of Tifton, formerly of Mansfield, Pa., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Private burial will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.

Born Dec. 28, 1936 in Mansfield, Pa., to the late John Elmer and Ruth Hendricks Geiger, Mr. Geiger was a retired, self-employed electrician and was of the Methodist faith. He had served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing and being outdoors.

Mr. Geiger is survived by his wife, Mary L. Hines Geiger of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tawana Geiger of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen Geiger and Robert Young of Bethlehem, Pa.; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Georgia Geiger of Leesburg, Fla.; one grandson, Alex Geiger of Tifton; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.albritton-beaumontfuneralhome.com. Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
