Naomi Willis

WEST BERRIEN — Naomi Willis, 77, of West Berrien, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Lovein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Lenox City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willis was born Sept. 19, 1932 in Lawrence County, Ohio, to the late Stirl Johnson and Lulie Sprouse. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Willis, who died Jan. 4, 1996; and a daughter, Delorese Bossier.

Mrs. Willis is survived by her daughter, Sharon Umpleby of Sparks; three sons, Eddie Jones, Scott Willis and George Willis, all of West Berrien; one sister, Freida Prothe of Seaford, Del.; one brother, Stirl Johnson Jr. of Crownsville, Md.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
