MOULTRIE — Rosa Lee Cole Strickland, 69, of Moultrie died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Born Dec. 19, 1940 in Opelika, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Will and Lonie Cole. She owned her own cleaning service and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Strickland; and one sister, Mary Jo Cole.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Montine and Gary Harrison of Omega, Marie and Randall Weeks, Brenda Livingston and Betty Wagner, all of Moultrie; two sons and daughter-in-law, George Tommy Strickland of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michael and Roxanne Brooks of Moultrie; one sister, Margaret McDaniels of McClenny, Fla; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Weeks, 2965 Georgia Highway 33, North, Moultrie. Cobb Funeral Chapel in Moultrie is in charge of arrangments.
