Troy Mitchel Singley

MOULTRIE — Troy Mitchel Singley, 84, of Moultrie died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Interment will be held at Omega City Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.

Casketbearers will be Andrew Mitchel Singley, Adam James Singley, Harold Michael Houghtalen and Isaac Paulk.

Mr. Singley was born on May 19, 1928 in Eastman to John Mitchel Singley and Annie Ruth Young Singley, both deceased. He had retired from J.P. Stevens Carpet Mill as a machine mechanic. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Marvin, Clarence and Emory Singley; and a sister, Joyce Harrell.

Mr. Singley is survived by his wife, Mildred Marie Tabor Singley of Moultrie; a son, David Mitchel Singley and his wife Stacy of Tifton; two sisters, Elise Maddox of Jackson and Mae Paulk and her husband Roy of Doerun; a sister-in-law, Mary Singley of Moultrie; grandchildren, Amanda Colleen Houghtalen and husband Harold Michael of Moultrie, Andrew Mitchel Singley of Tifton and Adam James Singley of Tifton; and a great-grandchild, Ryan David Houghtalen.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
