RAY CITY —
Ancil Eugene Cumbus, 85, of Ray City, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 in the South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 26, 1927 in Berrien County to the late Marcelious Cumbus and the late Frances Williams. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City.
He is survived by his wife: Lois Gunter Cumbus of Ray City; four sons: David Cumbus and Junior Cumbus, both of Nashville, Jimmy Kersey of Moultrie and Paul Kersey of Brookfield; five daughters: Grace Woods of Adel, Jean Strawder, Marilyn Strawder and Melba Evans, all of Nashville, and Debra Fountain of Valdosta; two sisters: Betty Rigdon of Nashville and Gloria Ann White of Eustis, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Palmer officiating. Visitation is tonight from 6-8.
Lovein Funeral Home of Nashville is in charge of the arrangements.
