Sarah Ann Lowery, 71, of Tifton died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at her residence. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Lowery at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Covenant Church with the Rev. Lawrence Thomas officiating.
Mrs. Lowery was born Jan. 22, 1941 in Union Point to William Corbett Bramlett and Bonita Nadine Crane Bramlett, both of whom preceded her in death. An infant daughter, Veronica Ambrose, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lowery loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and also enjoyed gardening, reading the Bible, telling family stories and cats. Being the oldest of five children, she took on the “mother” role among them. She was a member of New Covenant Church in Tifton and taught Sunday school for many years.
Surviving Mrs. Lowery is her son, William Daniel “Danny” Moore of Macon; a sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Bill Sweeney of Tifton; three brothers and sisters-in-law Billy and Peggy Bramlett of Tifton, Edward and Beth Bramlett of Byron and Robbie and Joanne Bramlett of Sumner; grandchildren, Heather Sanford and Dani Moore; great-grandchildren, Shelli Champagne, Jaymie Zeppa and Jake Gregory; and great-great-grandchildren, Maddi Champagne and Jace Zeppa.
