Death notices for Nov. 29

Lavon Dove, 79, of Norman Park, died Wednesday Nov. 28, 2012 in Moultrie. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.

Gayron York Hale, 58, of Tifton, died Nov. 23, 2012 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gail Hale of Tifton. Allen and Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Nix Brock, 82, of Ashburn, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Perry Funeral Chapel. She is survived by a daughter, Sue Davis of Ashburn; brothers, Charles Wiggins and Bobby Wiggins, both of Ashburn; as well as sisters, Christine Cleghorn of Gray and Inez Coleman of Canton. Perry Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Johnny Dwain Weldon, 68, of Adel, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at Cook Medical Center. The family will receive friends  from 1-2 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 South Hutchinson Avenue, in Adel.  Funeral services will take place immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home. Mr. Weldon is survived by his two sons, Barry Dean Weldon and John Paul Weldon, both of Adel. Interment will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery where Military Honors will be presented. Boone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Wayne Barber, 66, of Adel, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Tabernacle Church. Interment will follow at Vickers Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Calvary Tabernacle Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Barber of Adel; mother, Gertie Mae Taylor Barber of Nashville; two sons, Steven Williams of California and Larry Williams of Nevada; four daughters, Melissa Walker of Enigma, Evonne Barber of Ray City, Waynette Barber of Nashville and Christine Maurer of California; four brothers, Tommy Barber, Michael Barber, Billy Barber and Roger Barber, all of Nashville; two sisters, Elaine Peugh of Cordele, and Faith Noles of Nashville. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
