Harrie Clifford Davis, 91, of Alapaha died Thursday Feb. 7, 2013 in the Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Connell, the Rev. Kevin Stone, and the Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 p.m. today at Lovein Funeral Home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1921 in Ben Hill County to the late John Quincy Adams Davis and the late Nancy Honor Livingston. He was a retired farmer and attended St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Elvira Brogdon Davis who died in 2010; 2 sisters, Nettie Mae Griner and Clara Hancock.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Louise (Billy) Steverson of Alapaha and Glenda Davis of Alapaha; 3 grandchildren, Michael Steverson, Darren Harper, and Dwain Steverson; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Kate Wilson of Nashville. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
