Nell McElveen Lee

ALBANY — Mrs. Nell McElveen Lee, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at the Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Byne Memorial Baptist Church with internment to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. Matthew Nance will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Kimbrell-Stern.  

A native of Brooklet, Mrs. Lee had lived in Albany since 1965. She retired from Ayers Corporation and was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She was an avid bowler.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon S. Lee Jr.; a daughter, Jan Kruglack; a granddaughter, Kam Kruglack; and brothers, William McElveen, Virgil McElveen, Jack McElvenn and Lee McElveen; and a son-in-law, Don Kruglack.

Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Lee Cooper and her husband, Bill, of Chula; a son, Leon S. Sam Lee III of Leesburg; grandchildren, Debbie Kruglack Walther, Chris Humphries, Pearl Anne Brown and Samantha Helton and her husband, Ashley Helton; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Charles E. McElvenn, Screven, GA; sisters, Gloria Ellis, Brunswick, Laurie McLaughlin, Pensacola, Fla.
