Cecil Jane Ricks Walker

SUMNER — Cecil Jane Ricks Walker, 85, of Sumner died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gordon Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Wright's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Baker Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Tillman, John Walker, Alvin Walker, Jamie Blanchett, Guy Williams and Kevin Pierce.

Ms. Walker was born Aug. 2, 1927 in Wright's Chapel Community, Worth County to H.T. Ricks and Devada Langdale Ricks, both deceased. She was a CNA with Brownwood Nursing Home and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Walker and a sister, Velma Walker.

Ms. Walker is survived by a son, Melvin Walker and wife Bonnie of Sumner; a daughter, Diane Tillman and husband Jerry of Moultrie; grandchildren, Melissa Williams and husband Guy of Berrien County, John Walker of Sumner, Jennifer Blanchett and husband Jamie of Statesboro, Alvin Walker and wife Sallie of Doerun, Anthony Tillman of Moultrie and Allison Tillman Pierce and husband Kevin of Moultrie; great-grandchildren, Kourtni Williams, Phillip Williams, Ryan Williams, Emily Blanchett, Payton Blanchett and Cotton Walker; step-great-grandchildren, Hunter Gay and Kaylee Gay. Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
