Rosalind Steed Mann, 70, of Ocilla died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Robert Couey officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Mann was born June 1, 1942 in Atlanta to the late J.T. and Ann Paulk Steed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joey Mann. She was a 1960 graduate of Irwin County High School and was a homemaker. A member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Mann was an avid tennis player and loved to paint in pastels and oils. She was very active in her sons’ lives and their sports activities.
Mrs. Mann is survived by her husband of 53 years, E.W. “Billy” Mann of Ocilla; sons, David Mann of Ocilla, Terry and Karen Mann of Tifton, Chris and Melody Mann of Ocilla and Jamie and Julie V. Mann of Tifton; nine grandchildren, Megan Mann, Courtney Mann, Payton Mann, Caroline Mann, John Mann, Joel Mann, Jacklyn Mann, Mary Virginia Hogan and Julie Ann Hogan; and a brother, Dr. Dennis (Lynn) Steed of Greenviile, N.C.
