Rob Boyd

NASHVILLE — Robert Marion “Rob” Boyd, 80, of Nashville died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Junior Swain officiating. Visitation will beh eld from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lovein Funeral Home.

Mr. Boyd was born Sept. 8, 1929 in Berrien County to the late William A. Boyd and Louise Bellflower. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Burroughs Boyd, who died Feb. 23, 2005. He was a retired bulk fuel transport driver with BP Oil and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Boyd is survived by his son, Robert Wade Boyd of Nashville; grandchildren, Andrea Evans, Andy Boyd, Phillip Boyd, Kayla Boyd and Anthony Boyd; step-grandson, James Sprinkle; sisters, Eloise Hughes, Wylene Harper and Arlene Franks, all of Nashville, and Mildred Wortham of Fort Valley; and brothers, Talmadge Boyd of Valdosta and Huey Boyd of Willacoochee.

Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
