LAKELAND, Fla. — Debra Gay Buchanon, 52, of Lakeland, Fla., died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Chapel. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Born Jan. 9, 1957, in Winter Haven, Fla., she was the daughter of Robert Edward Pfaff and Barbara Brannock Norman. She was a director of human resources. She was preceded in death by her father.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by sons, Colby Buchanon and Dustin Buchanon of Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Brookelyn Buchanon of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Ben Marshall and wife Lisa of Lutz, Fla.; and a sister, Melody Weber of Atlanta.
In her memory, donations can be made to Barbara Norman Funeral Fund at any Suntrust Bank. Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Concert to benefit breast cancer victims
The story of how cancer has had devastating effects on two women in one local family led a local musician to organize a benefit concert to be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Cypress Grill at Lake Blackshear. Donations may be made at the door or online at the “Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure” Web site.
