Carol Cooper

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Carol Ann Cooper, 57, of Tallahassee, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 in Tallahassee. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Woodville. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton.

Mrs. Cooper was born Nov. 26, 1951 in Tifton. She moved to Tallahassee in 1978 where she attended Florida State University and earned her BA in theater and minored in music. Mrs. Cooper retired from the City of Tallahassee Utility Customer Service in August 2009 after 22 years of service. She loved to garden, read, sing, cook and work with stained glass. She loved her pets. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodville.

She is survived by three brothers, Ken Cooper of Savannah, Fred Cooper of Augusta and Wayne Cooper of Tifton; two sisters, Barbara Cooper of Tallahassee, Fla., and Shirley Bottroff, Denver, Colo.; and her beloved dogs, Senji, Goliath and Pippin as well as many friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Elmer Cooper Sr. and Mary Helen Cooper; and two brothers, Jerry and Randy Cooper.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308, (850) 878-5310; or First Baptist Church of Woodville, Building Fund, P.O. Box 570, Woodville, FL 32362, (850) 421-3315. Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel in Crawfordville is in charge of arrangements.
