James McMillan
LENOX - James Oscar McMillan, 67, of Lenox, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New River Free Holiness Church in Lenox. Bro. L. D. Blevins, Bro. A. D. Connell and Bro. Dean Bowling will officiate with burial to follow at New River Free Holiness Church Cemetery. Tommy Hays, Travis Brown, Brian McGhee, Mack Brown, Wayne Hays and Shawn Grantham will serve as pallbearers. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Bro. James was born Jan. 17, 1942 in Berrien County and was the son of Bro. Oscar McMillan and Sis. Ruth Griner McMillan, both deceased. Most of his life's occupation was in concrete construction in Florida. He was of the Free Holiness faith and attended New River Free Holiness Church in Lenox. Bro. James' life, in his later years, was spent serving the Lord. He served in the United States Army Corp of Engineers. Recently, he happily retired to his hometown of Lenox.
Bro. James is survived by his wife, Sis. Betty Bolton McMillan of Lenox; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Tommy Hays of Seffner, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jacques O. and Wyline McMillan of Dade City, Fla., and J. Aaron and Sara McMillan of St.Petersburg, Fla.; four grandchildren, Wayne and Carrie Hays and Shawn and Kayla Grantham; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Delores McGhee of Tifton, Theda and Edward Goddard of Tampa, Fla., Marcia and James Thornton of Meansville, Angela and Tom Dove of Lenox and Deborah Ramaley of Rapid City, S.D.; and two sisters-in-law and their husband, Media Louisa and James "Buck" Edmondson of Tazewell, Tenn., and Naomi and Otis Treece of Plainfield, Ill.
