“A belated congratulations to Carlie and Shane Courtoy for winning the AR award. Carlie, for her second year in a row, won over all the first-grade classes at Northside School. Shane, following in his sister’s footsteps, won over all the kindergarten classes at Northside School. Keep up your reading during the summer. Great job.”

A great day

“I just saw on the news that Al Franken was ruled the winner of the senators race in Minnesota. Then seconds later it was reported that Wal-Mart is supporting President Obama’s health reform and news was also reporting that the stock market had its best gains in 10 years. It is about time to stop living in the past and move forward. What a great day!”

Time-saver

“With all the technology that is available why can't the Tift County Clerks Office get all the files and all cases on computer. What a time-saver this would be. ...Some smaller surrounding counties are computerized — Why not Tift County?”
