Your Opinion: See the Jubalheirs

— This Friday evening, November 16, Tifton will have the opportunity to host a premier women's chorus from all over the state of Georgia. This 150 voice chorus, the Jubalheirs, is made up of women who serve in various capacities of music ministry and education.

Founded in 1973, Jubalheirs presents concerts under the direction of Dr. Jon Duncan. It is also a music and missions organization with a history of many projects over the years. The group has served in several mission projects in Georgia as well as mission trips to Germany and Moldova. This coming year plans are for this group to travel to Russia.

The Jubalheirs share a wide variety of music in their concerts, from classical, spiritual, to contemporary. The chorus is accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, piano, and organ. In addition, the Jubalheirs handbell choir will perform.

The concert, hosted by First Baptist Church Tifton, is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the is no admission charge.

The Tiftarea community is encouraged to attend and share in this outstanding concert.
