Rants and Raves for February 4

Show them

“To the ranter about the eyesore at the former nursery location, I am sure they would appreciate you volunteering to clean up the eyesore. Let's not just tell people we are Christians, show them by acts of kindness.”

Idea to save money

“Want to save money on health care? Do something about these crooked doctors, lawyers and alleged "victims" involved in those outrageous lawsuits that pay out exhorbitant amounts to those that don't deserve it. Frivilous lawsuits cause automobile and health insurance costs to rise unnecessarily.”

Who we are

“We, as living beings, are products of the environment we live in and the parents that produced us. Look up the defintion and apply to any situation that creates an outcome.”

Not a good idea

“Mr. Wetherington has some good ideas but allowing politicians to serve 12 years is not one of them. They would still be eligible for re-election, which is the problem in the first place. One six-year term is enough. Anyway, term limits ain't going to happen. The only possible solution to term limitation is to just vote against the incumbents, but voters don't have enough discipline for that what with all this brainwashing along party lines. A strong third party would probably help.”

Just a thought

“If the economy is so bad and jobs so sarcasm how is it that people from another country who do not even speak the language are able to come to this country and find jobs!? I guess they do speak the right language after all...the "willing to really work"language. ”

Bottom line

“ Bottom line is that teachers can only work with the products that parents send to them. Teaching is like farming — you use the land you have, try to improve it with fertilizers and mother nature determines the final outcome.. ”
