Our Opinion: Get out and vote

CNHI

— After 15 months of campaigning between the two presidential candidates, every qualified voter in the United States can go to the polls today to make a choice for President of the United States.

We hope our readers have done their research and made their choice between Democratic President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the Republican challenger.

We hope you, our readers, have done your research and made your choice, and go out today to express your vote. The right to vote for the candidate of our choice is one of the things that makes our country great.

Being able to be a part of the political process to elect our leaders is a privilege many American citizens take for granted. Men and women have fought and died for 236 years defending that right.

Besides electing the person to the highest office in the land, voters are also allowed to choose other leaders ranging from U.S. Senators to county commissioners. It is what makes our country special and unique in the world.

With all of that being said, we have one last request of you.

Go out and vote today and make your voices heard.`
