Well, the wave was far from a tsunami, but rather, a ripple at best. America has voted and reelected Obama and basically the same Congress, which means no big changes. As with all things in life, the amount of work, effort and time you put into something helps determine the results, benefits and rewards you will receive. Apathy is definitely a factor of this last election, where there was almost eight million voters less than the last presidential election and seven million for Obama (D) and almost one million less for Romney (R).
Currently, we are living in a time when right is defined as wrong and wrong is defined as right. As a nation, we have chosen selfishness over prosperity and in so doing, we have opened the door fully to the repercussions of our actions. Time will show the decisions we have made have driven us to our own demise. There are many good people out there and now is the time of your testing. How well will you stand by your faith and do the right things, even as evil presses you on all sides, with all its might? Yes, as a nation, we have made a decision for self-destruction, but as individuals or as a state (nation, Georgia), we can choose to save our souls, pray for the lost souls and continue to do the right things. We need to be the Light, to all around us. As time ticks on, this task and the persecution that follows will mirror that of the early Christians and many will not have the ability to bear its weight. Look at the Mideast now.
Many in our nation have given up being individuals and given their rights and responsibility to live and prosper to an all-knowing government. After all, who knows better than the government how to control your bodily intake, health care, entertainment, living location, employment options…? Heck, just ask those from Katrina or Sandy how great the government serves its cogs? Funny thing, if you research it, those in the wake of Katrina came from two different mindsets, one in New Orleans, where government was all they knew, and the other for the rest of the coast, who knew it was up to them and their local community, supported by many of the great privet and faith-based charity groups that helped with the cleanup and rebuilding.
No matter what happens next, which I believe will be very dark and freedom-taking, God is in control. As with many of the examples in the bible, when man turned his face away from God, he suffered from the growth of evil, until the cleansing is complete and those who rejected him (God) were no more. This is why praying for their souls will be one of the most important things we can do. While they are still here, there is always a chance; God will grace them with the same blessing he has left with us. If not, their souls will be lost.
We need to seriously discuss secessions for Georgia, in order to isolate ourselves from the leviathan of the federal government, along with us, obligating ourselves to the federal government’s debt, which is already beyond our ability to repay. Interesting how all of a sudden this is an item in the news, now that the election is over?
Author's Note: To those, who would accuse me of declaring myself a prophet, I say “No, I am no prophet. I am a layman who understands the charge left him by our Lord, such as part of the parable, from Luke 19:13; ‘And he called his 10 servants and delivered them 10 pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” I continue to use the sword of truth and shield of faith the Lord has left us until his return.
God Bless,
Jeff Korson

Southern problems...some folks got’em
I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital. We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
